Some time I wonder that what we are selling in the name of news

When something is hidden and it has nothing to do with the public and game why it has to be a news.
He wanted to keep "The Gender" a secret for obvious reasons and he was successful in it since 17 years, he served country for 17 years in sports grounds, people loved him, he had a reputation.
Suddenly some journalist got the hint and make it public that he belong to third gender. That journalist never thought how that player will feel, if he hadn't told it to public yet, it was embarrassing for him. Will he be confidant as he was before???
I think if there aren't any rules about such things journalists have to follow the ethical codes. Besides if some news have no loss no benefit but it can save the reputation if not published than it shouldn't.
