Youth Leadership

Leadership is a word containing an ocean of meanings but if we want to sum-up all the explanation in one word, the word is "Service"

I learned this concept in youth leadership camp and I was arguing to prove it wrong in my mind and I was amazed to find the fact that no matter what but it can't be proved wrong.

From the Islamic history to world's history, from the revolutions to wars, battle and than peace. Leadership means service.

Every notable leader who was considered a good leader adopt the policy of service and won the hearts of the people considered the ryot, and this service didn't need a title. Not every leader was with the power of country's resources, or presidency or ministry, but they had the power of people who respect and love them in return of their "Service"

Than I started comparing the modern age leaders of Pakistan or I would say I compared the people who consider themselves a leader but I didn't find any other than a man, who is Siraj-ul-Haq from Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP)

Siraj-ul-Haq - No lust of power, no greed of wealth, not concerned with the fame, no desire of ministry, just a passion and that is Service.

And look on the other side, rest of the political parties in the country, craving for power and authority from 1947 till now. Fighting, killing murdering people committing grave crimes just to get the hold of parliament and increasing their own bank balance.

Saying that they are the real leaders but don't know about the problems of common man, and when they don't know, how they will be able to solve them. So they are not solving, they just want to save so called democracy, or we can say that saving their place for next some years in the parliament.

Youth has to differentiate between a leader and a power thirsty corrupt man, and youth has to play the role of leaders at their places and its difficult but remember being great is not easy, don't ever divert focus from the right path and that right leadership path is "Service"
